Lit by Your Granddaughter Christina 8th February 2017
Today marks one whole month since the last hug, last kiss on the cheek, last smile I will ever get from you on earth. It was on your 84th birthday and I didn't want to leave your side... perhaps our hearts somehow knew then? But you looking up at me and saying 'I love you too' means the world to me. I saw you smile as I did my typical funky 'waving goodbye dance number' out the door as you watched me to my car.
Thank you for being my wonderful Grandma and loving me over all these crazy years. I'm so thankful to have had this much time with you. You never know when the last visit will be the last...you taught me to always leave as if it's your last, just-in-case.
All those times when I resisted as a little punk adolescent and you forced me to still hug you and kiss you on the cheek...Thank you for that. You taught me so many valuable lessons that will stick with me forever. I love you so much Grandma.
I miss you so so much too.
Fly High you wonderful lady!!! You deserve it. Rest in Peace.
